Hello Everyone and Welcome!
The first mini-series topic I’m going to write about is on the Archangels. The purpose of these writings is to give you an overview and provide some insight based on my learning, but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to get your questions answered. So, let’s get started.
The word “Angel” means “Messenger of God.” The Angels are pure love and light, and are blessings from God. They help everyone who calls upon them. Please note that because God gives us “free will” to make our own decisions and take the paths in life “we” choose, the Angels cannot intervene in our life without our permission as a general rule ( however, there are instances where our Guardian Angels will step in and protect us without our consent). The Angels are eager to help us with anything and everything, and they can help everyone at the same time, so there’s no need to worry about bothering them or taking up their time. However, we don’t pray to Angels or worship them. Instead, we work with them as gifts from God to help, among others, bring peace on earth (an important way is by bringing peace to ourselves). Because God “assigned” the Archangels and Guardian Angels to work with humans and earth itself, these Angels are very easy for us to connect with and help us easily receive God’s blessings. God does not mandate that we go through the Angels. Again, we only pray to God and we only worship God. However, the Angels are here to help us 24 x 7, and they hear our prayers, our pleas for help, and they indeed offer support to get our prayers answered and provide amazing guidance as they are an extension of God. For that, we should continuously thank both God and the Angels, as our gratitude is a gift for them.
The Archangels are the “Chief Messengers of God” and oversee the Guardian Angels. These two groups of Angels are the closest to humans. Many Christians (and others to some extent) believe in the “Nine Choirs of Angels,” which is a hierarchy of Angel groups (with Archangels and Guardian Angels included). In this series, we will focus on the Archangels. However, let’s first talk a little about the Guardian Angels. Upon our creation, God gives us at least two Guardian Angels who are with us throughout our entire life (or perhaps lives if you believe in reincarnation). Among others, their purpose is to protect, guide, and comfort us. But, as mentioned above, it’s imperative that we ask for their help and then be open to receiving it (based on the law of free will). Our Guardian Angels will never leave us no matter what we think or do. There are countless stories about how Guardian Angels have intervened in our lives (with or without our asking), and I am certainly a strong believer in them and all Angels! I recommend we talk with our Guardian Angels daily and thank them, along with God, for all of the blessings they continuously bring to us. If you don’t know who your Guardian Angels are, then ask God to help you open your heart to them and help you get to know them like a best friend. It might take several tries for you to become comfortable with this, but in a relaxed and quiet setting start talking with them and ask their names. Once you let go of your fears, you will be amazed at what you hear!
Depending on your religion and beliefs, there can be anywhere from two to many known Archangels. For Christians, Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael are probably the most popular. However, in this mini-series we will look at 15 Archangels found in various religions and widely discussed. Each Archangel has its own “specialty” although there is some overlapping. We will begin with Archangel Michael, who I work with a lot!
The name Michael means “He who is like God.” He is probably most known as the Archangel of Protection. He is usually portrayed with a sword ready to slay negative entities. However, some believe this is really to slay our inner fears which live in our ego (mind). So, when we talk about “body, mind, and soul” the mind relates to the ego where all human negativity lives (our fears, doubt, shame, guilt, confusion, etc.) while our soul relates to our “higher self” otherwise known as our “spiritual” self, which is our holy spirit. Of course, the body is our physical body. But, Michael can use his sword and his power of protection to remove any and all negativity in and around us and surround us in a bubble of protection that only pure love can get through. He can also “cut the negative cords” to all people and situations we are attached to while still leaving the love and positive cords attached to those same people and situations. This is an interesting concept when you think about it. Calling upon Archangel Michael to “cut all cords that no longer serve my higher purpose” is a powerful request that immensely helps with letting go and releasing of all the negativity, so that healing can take place. It’s truly amazing what these Angels can do for us if we simply ask for their help and be open to accepting it. So, Michael is the protector of all that is pure and good. We can call upon him to protect our body, mind, and soul from lower energies, negativity, and fears, and to extend this protection to our loved ones, our homes, our vehicles when we are in them, and even our reputations.
Archangel Michael also oversees our Life Purpose and helps guide us on our spiritual journey, and even gives us clear direction and courage when we ask for his help. What is your life purpose? This is the God-given reason you were sent to earth. Before you were born, you worked with God and the Angels to agree upon your earthly mission that would help yourself heal from karmic baggage, help others on earth, help animals, help planet earth itself, or some other positive actions that would help your soul growth and spiritual journey. We are all here to love, learn, and support one another on our journeys. When we discover our life purpose and begin working on it, then our lives become filled with abundance of all kinds. Some people know their life purpose at an early age, while others don’t find it until well into their older years (and some never in this lifetime). Well, Archangel Michael is the one to call upon to help you identify your Life Purpose and to guide you toward your true, divine happiness.
Archangel Michael is known for other areas of expertise, but Protection and Life Purpose are his two primary roles. So, please talk with him, work with him, and get connected to his beautiful energy. He is waiting to hear from you and ready to help you!
We will continue with an overview of another Archangel in my next writing, so please stay tuned.
Sending YOU lots of LOVE and ANGEL BLESSINGS!!!
